Laura Bush welcomes artist Lu Zhan Huan to the White House when the artist completed his oil painting for the 2002 official White House Holiday Card in September. Lu, a native of Shanghai, China, selected a scene from the Grand Foyer of the White House State Floor as the object of his painting. He was on-hand at the White House when the First Lady unveiled the official holiday card on December 5.
